I offer and contribute to a variety of educational courses and curricula. Teaching is an exciting and rewarding part of my work. The world of Asian medicine is rich with fascinating topics to benefit our modern lives. It is my passion and joy to share these tools with my local and global community.
I have lectured and participated in a range of workshops, panel discussions, and other projects. I have lectured at Stanford School of Medicine, San Francisco State University, Five Branches University, the Shang Shung Institute School of Tibetan Medicine, and other venues. I am a certified Instructor of Tibetan Medicine. I am certified to offer continuing education courses for California Acupuncturists. In June of 2021 I had the great honor of co-teaching a course with His Emminence Garchen Rinpoche and Shang Shung School of Tibetan Medicine Team. We presented teachings on the Medicine Buddha Mandala, along with Rinpoche's amazing wisdom of healing and compassion. It was a great one-day course!

Tibetan Kunye Massage and External Therapies

The course presents detailed instruction on and practice of the therapeutic techniques of Tibetan Kunye massage and external therapies. We begin with a brief introduction to the rich and intricate elemental theory of Traditional Tibetan Medicine. We then focus on the clinical application of specific techniques.
Wellness from Within: Tibetan Medicine Self-Care Program
January 3-5, 2020
We had a great weekend course this January with a small group in Berkeley, presenting self-care guidelines based on Tibetan Medicine principles of healthy diet, lifestyle, seasonal health and more! The course featured lecture presentations by Matthew and me, Khaita Joyful Dancing with Katya, seasonal yoga with Emily Schmookler, garlic ghee-making and bone broth demonstrations with Chelsea Rutherford. Good times!
